An SS officer sits on a bench in a cemetery  with  a pistol in hand and is about to commit a coup de grace.  Who is he and how did he get here?

    Wolfgang Hausser or “Wolf” by those who know him, finds himself in a dilemma.  Becoming a young officer not long after the triumph, with the taking of Fort Eben-Emael in Belgium, he is struck with a revelation of a family secret that could very well ruin his military career.  Hoping to resolve the issue, he attends a New Year’s eve party at Himmler’s Wewelsburg castle.  This action propels him into the Dark Camelot of the Third Reich and making a Devil’s deal with its dreaded henchman. 

    Trying to stay alive and protecting his family through many trials and tribulations.  He finds; “nothing is what seems” in the regime he has dedicated himself to.  This brings him to a final reckoning into a mysterious village in Normandy, France. Where the dark truths are answered and clarifies the time of Twilight of The Teutonics.

EXCERPT:

Wolfgang Hausser or Wolf, the name used by those who knew him and the name that stuck with the propaganda press, was meditatively smoking his cigarette in the back of the truck while other soldiers eyed him nervously. The ride was already annoying,but to have an officer with them in the truck—and an SS officer to boot—put adamper on the day. Wolf came out of his trance and noticed the tension.

   He reached into his coat pocket and pulled out his silver cigarette holder with the design of a diving eagle holding a swastika, the symbol of the German Fallshirmjager.

   He opened it and made an offer, “Would anyone like one?” Some soldiers shook their heads, while others looked to see who would make the first move. The one next to him took the offer. Wolf lit it for him.

“Danke.” Wolf smiled,
